Storm Loss in Vancouver

Contaminated Black Water usually means a controlled demolition of the affected materials in a Vancouver home. Once the drywall material and the carpeting are soaked and filled with unknown chemicals from the groundwater, the safe way is to remove these items and disinfect the area. Then a rebuild can be done.

Gutter Damage From Winter Storm

During our cold winter this home's gutter froze and when the water thawed it kept the water from draining properly which caused the water to drain into the home. Our team responded quick enough to reduce significant damage. We removed a light fixture in the affected area to gain access into the attic. From there we set up fans and circulated the air around the home and into the attic. We were able to save the drywall and even the hardwood floors of the home in this case.

Frozen Pipe Damage

During the snow storm this year a pipe behind the sink of this home on the exterior wall ruptured due to the freezing weather. The home was vacant at the time and the owners were out of the country; leaving their kids in charge of checking in on the home. Because of the amount of time the water had been sitting this job turned into a complete demo. We removed all the wet materials and then dried the remaining sub floor and structure.

Roof Damage

A branch from a nearby tree punctured a whole in the roof of this home causing the rain fall to drain into the attic, through the ceiling and down into the garage. Our team set up a containment around the affected area and then cut out the affected part of the ceiling. We then removed any wet materials from the attic space and set up fans to circulate the air and dry the space.

Storm Damage

During a recent wind storm in the area this home's roof suffered an impact from an 8 ft tree branch which puncture the roof. This caused all the rainfall to drain into the attic above the garage and down the walls of the garage. We got there quick enough to save the structure. We removed one interior wall to dry the exterior wall of the home, and then removed a chunk of the ceiling to air out the garage and the attic area.
